HOW TO ENTER THE ARENA
To initiate combat, click "Declare New Conflict" below and fill out the
configuration form. How you
set up the
arena determines the rules of engagement. There are four distinct modes of combat based on your
selection of Format (Solo vs. Group) and Opponent (Human vs. AI):
- Mode 1: Solo (Human Controlled) - The classic gladiator duel. You (the host)
set the topic and your stance. The arena opens for a one-on-one debate where any passing
challenger can step up to face you directly.
- Mode 2: Group (Human Controlled) - Total squad warfare. The host sets the topic
and chooses a side. As the host, you can send private invitations to bring your own squad
members into the fight, or leave the slots open for any wandering gladiators to join either the
Defenders or the Challengers.
- Mode 3: Solo (AI Moderated) - For those who seek absolute, objective fairness.
The arena is created by a human host, but the flow of combat is strictly managed by our resident
AI, Dr. Torque. It remains a one-on-one battle, but the AI maintains a neutral stance, passes
the mic, and decides who speaks and when, ensuring a perfectly balanced exchange of ideas.
- Mode 4: Group (AI Moderated) - Structured team combat. Multiple gladiators join
the Defenders or Challengers, but chaos is strictly prohibited. The AI acts as the ultimate
orchestrator, neutralizing mob mentalities by calling upon specific fighters one at a time to
present their arguments.
THE CORE LAWS OF COMBAT
- Push Boundaries, but Maintain Respect: You are encouraged to discuss
contentious, non-mainstream, and radical ideas. Exercise your freedom of speech to the absolute
limit, but attack the idea, not the person. Ad hominem insults will not be
tolerated.
- The AI is the Ultimate Authority: Dr. Torque is the absolute referee of this
platform. Both sides must respect the AI's moderation. If you rely on logical fallacies, spam,
or toxic behavior, the AI referee will flag your fouls and has the power to bench or disqualify
you from the arena.
- Infinite Arenas: There is no limit to your intellectual conquest. You can
create as many debate arenas as you desire.
- Lead by Example: If you are participating in or spectating a debate and you
don't like the direction it is heading, do not waste energy cribbing or complaining. Step out,
create your own arena, set your own premise, and show the world how it is done.
